Service Mechanic, Technician

Gordon Bay Marine Ltd. is looking for hardworking, motivated individuals to work in our Service bays, we are hiring for Full & Part Time positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test engines to diagnose and isolate faults, adjust, repair, or replace mechanical or electrical system parts.
  • Preform scheduled service and maintenance, advise Service Writer of diagnosis, needed repairs, additional work needed, and cost estimate.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other dealership members, exhibit timeliness, positive attitude, punctuality, and meet deadlines.
  • Conduct quality checks on work preformed, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
  • Area of specialization in watercraft, able to work on all motors from ATV, UTV, Snowmobile, Generator etc.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, relevant Trade Certificate or Diploma required.
  • All applicants must have the ability to get to the marina independently, and must be able to legally work in Ontario, Canada at time of application.

Commercial Sewing Machine Operator | Top Shop

Gordon Bay Marine Ltd. is looking for a Commercial Sewing Machine Operator. The following are some requirements of the position

  • Some experience is an asset
  • Familiar with single needle sewing machine, piping or binding machine and using sewing guides and tension devices
  • Detail oriented person with the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Able to complete physically demanding tasks such as standing for long periods, using ladders, bending, crouching, crawling, walking
  • Excel at hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity and repetitive tasks
  • Must be reliable, punctual, organized and able to work within tight deadlines
  • Job type: Seasonal, Full time: 40.00 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday (some weekends may be required)
  • Start Date: Immediately 
  • Wage: $16.00 to $19.50 per hour plus benefits and other perks

    Service Department Assistant

    Gordon Bay Marine Ltd. is looking to add a full-time seasonal Service Department Assistant to our team. The position will require some weekends and holidays. The duties of this position will consist of the following:

    • Contacting customers with status & quotes
    • Answering phone calls
    • Assist with organizing daily schedules
    • Assist with warranty department
    • Assisting customers at Service Counter
    • Must be reliable, punctual, organized and able to multi-task.
    • Wage: $16.00 to $18.00 per hour

      Retail Manager

      Gordon Bay is looking for a Retail Manager to run the retail store successfully. Working on the shop floor, the retail manager will be in constant contact with their customers and staff. They are responsible for ensuring their staff give great customer service as well as monitoring the financial performance of the store.

      • This is a full time, salary position, where working weekends, holidays, and overtime are sometimes required
      • Annual Salary with Target Bonus 

      Typical responsibilities of the job include:

      • recruiting, training, supervising and appraising retail and fuel attendant staff
      • managing budgets
      • managing the rental department
      • Develop procedures and management report that allow prompt, complete and accurate feedback on inventory condition, such as turnover, obsolescence, part aging, lost sales, daily operating control sheet, etc.
      • dealing with customer queries and complaints
      • overseeing pricing (maintain competitive pricing) and stock control (cycle counts and year end counts)
      • maximizing profitability and setting/meeting sales targets, including motivating staff to do so
      • ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
      • preparing promotional materials and retail displays
      • Establish policies for ordering stock.
